Wow it is hard to believe we have entered the last week of summer and school is literally right around the corner! Where has the summer gone? I hope that you’ve had a chance to enjoy some relaxation this summer and spent time making memories with the ones you love. I have been out of school for so long now and my little ones aren’t old enough for school so I forget what its like to get in the hype of “back to school shopping”. But I remember when I was in school and how I thoroughly enjoyed this part of the school experience. There wasn’t a whole lot about school that I enjoyed, but back to school shopping I could get into. Now that I have my own babies and I think about preparing for school, there is so much I want to remind them when it comes to prepping for the first day. How silly it is that we put such a big importance on what they wear and all the latest gadgets they “must” have, to fit in. The fact is each one is beautiful just the way they are and their value and worth is not determined by the clothes they wear or the things they have. Oh how many sweet relationships we miss out on in life if this is how we view people. But there is something to be said about first impressions. Yes I think it’s important to look nice, to show up with a smile on your face and to be ready to learn and do your best, but lets not get obsessed in the whole idea of what your wearing on that first day of school will determine how you are viewed for the year! Of course it is fun to buy new things and children especially grow so fast that I am sure over the summer some of your school clothes from last year won’t quite fit this year. So a few new pieces of clothing need to be purchased. Here is just a look I threw together as inspiration as if I where going back to school. I also added some lounge wear because lets be honest after getting home from school nothing is better then slipping into some comfy clothes, grabbing a snack and nestling in to work on your homework. (homework … yuck) Here is a look for the woman out there. Tomorrow we will look at a look for the men going back to school and we won’t forget the littlest people either!

Grab some friends go for ice cream or a walk, bike ride, anything that will allow you to soak up all the moments you can and make all the memories you can in the next few days before a new year of school starts!
