I love the fact I live in a country where we get to experience all the seasons soley for the purpose of changing my wardrobe. Is that awful to say? I mean I truly to appreciate the beauty in the 4 different seasons. As I type this I can see all the trees out our backyard changing colours they are so vibrant and beautiful and I didn’t have to travel any distance to see or experience that. But another reason to enjoy the ever changing seasons is switching out my wardrobe. Ill admit I think fall is my favourite season to dress for because hello all the warm cozy layers – whats not to love. And for my kids I don’t have to bundle them up too much (yet) which is nice and makes for easier and quicker mornings getting out the door. I don’t typically buy a lot of clothes for myself because well buying for my kids is just more fun and cute but I do believe in purchasing a few key pieces as I like to call them that make for super functional pieces to create different looks.

Leather Leggings – these Vegan leggings are one of those higher end purchases but if your a mom and you too believe leggings are pants (I’m slightly joking) these are a must have. The hold you in and don’t lose their shape. I have had mine for 2 seasons now and still love them. I have been tempted to try the Spanx ones – anyone else try them and what do you think?

Camo Jacket – this is a staple to not only functionally keep you warm but it is a pop of colour/pattern. I love to pair mine with a plaid shirt or a white and black striped long sleeve. I pretty much love anything camo as much as I do leopard.

Wool Hat Because we all have hat days and this is a cute way to hid that dirty 3 day ole hair

Denim Shirt If you looked into my closet or my kids you would probably be like my husband and make fun of me for the amount of denim shirts we all ow but I swear they are a staple for all seasons. This one I recently purchased and love because of the length. It can cover my bum and I can throw it on with leggings or wear it as a sweater open with a shirt underneath as well.

Boots – I love a good boot – well lets be real I love shoes in general but a good boot is important for fall and winter. I don’t mind spending a bit more on a good boot that is practical, comfy and will last. These boots I have and love and get compliments all the time when I wear them and although they are a bit pricey they are super comfy and so functional.

Basic Long Sleeve Henley its a basic enough said! For wearing under a sweater, or under an open button up to layering under a vest a henley is a fall must have and this one is under $15.

Long Sweater A chunky knit long sweater is a must in my opinion. Because I am tall I always gravitate to longer sweaters but if you aren’t into the long ones a waist length one would be super functional as well. I am obsessed with carmel colour for fall and this sweater is just gorgeous.

Jean – I love a good high waisted jeans and I love the details of the raw hem on these ones and they are under $50 and I have been living in these.

  • Today felt like New Years Day with the kiddies back at school hubby back at work and I was worried I would be so lonely but instead found out that my hours ran out before my to-do list was finished! Crazy to think all these pages (months) of my calendar will be filled in no time. And yes I use a digital calendar on my phone but I like using a paper one as well... anyone else?
  • Happy New Year!! We partied hard last night and we are feeling it today.... ok we’ll maybe the partied hard part isn’t entirely true but nevertheless we are laying low today any one else doing the same? #timetocleanmymirror #excuseisijustmoved #timetowakeupdaddy
  • A decade! 10 whole years ... wow! It’s really hard to recap all that has happened but safe to say the past 10 years have been the best and yet hardest years of my life. I’ve been stretched in ways I didn’t know I could, I’ve grown deeper in my relationship with Jesus, I’ve learned the value of true friends, celebrated 10 years of marriage, seen the biggest answers to prayer in my life- I became a mom (not just once but 3 times over) I watched my dad fight (and thankfully) beat cancer, we bought our first home, we’ve moved 6 times, built 2 houses, welcomed over 10 babies into our hearts and homes, said more painful goodbyes than I like to count, taken many trips, had some not so great medical diagnoses and yet here we are! I have no idea what 2020 has in store but I’m excited for it! #happynewyear #2020herewecome
  • ✨All is calm, all is bright! ✨The best way to start Jesus Birthday celebrations is by going to our Christmas Eve service at church. Thinking of those who tomorrow will be hard for and thankful for those first responders, hospital staff and my much needed @Starbucks employees who are working tomorrow praying a special blessing on each of you!
  • Merry Christmas Eve Eve! Who is running off coffee and wishing they had their little peoples energy? I can’t be the only one ... 2 days to go!!!🎄
  • He’s the calm to my storm he gives me the support and encouragement needed when I feel overwhelmed! When I look back on the past 2 years heck even the last 6 months I am blown away by how much we have gone through and yet we are stronger for it - we are better for it! The future although not completely mapped out is less scary and more exciting knowing I’m walking into it with you by my side! Thankful for you @tspinksy #crazyfaith #bestyes
