It’s March… the snow is finally melting!! We had a wonderful few weeks away on vacation and I had every intention of posting this blog while we were away I even brought my laptop with me but we were having such a fun time as a family and I was working really hard at being present that I just felt it was important to just relax (not that I really do that with 3 kids lol) and just enjoy each moment I had with my family!
The day before we went away we had a bunch of friends over for a Valentines Day party! (hard to believe Valentines Day was a few weeks ago and now we are getting ready for spring!) I have shared on here before how my little people love to help me in the kitchen especially when it comes to baking so the morning of our party I knew it would be fun to have them help me make this new brownie recipe. They had so much fun helping me and the end result it was delicious!
Brownie Skillet
Ingredients:
Brownie Batter (I used a boxed brownie)
Oreos
Vanilla Frosting
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes
*Use a skillet if you have one I didn’t so I just used a 8×8 glass pan which resulted in needing me to cook it for longer*
Mixing up the brownie
Adding the layer of oreos
Cover the oreos with the rest of the brownie mix and than add the icing
Spread the icing around
Crushing the oreos for the top
My little assistants testing out the food to make sue its safe
Once the crushed oreos are on top you can bake it!
I just love the pictures of your children baking. What a good mommy you are to do that.! I am so proud of you, Katie!
I am having eye surgery tomorrow. This is my second cataract surgery and I will be happy when I can see and do the things I would like to do. They recommend a month of no heavy lifting so I can’t lift any babies for that long! I can’t even hold my great great nephews and nieces!
After that we should try again to get together before you get super busy again. As if it never stops for either one of us, eh? Lol!
I am so glad you got away and got to enjoy the warm weather.
How’s your dad doing?
Love ya,
MJ
