Hello there! It feels like forever since I have been on here. What a crazy last week we had but thankfully we are all settled into our new house and it is feeling like home! We also finally got our internet hooked up so I feel more connected now! It’s funny how quickly you forget what life was like without the internet and how fast you feel disconnected! Our move went as smoothly as a move can go I mean really there are always some hiccups right! The babies adjusted nicely to their new rooms and are loving their new house which makes my heart so happy! You never know when you make these major life decisions with it will do to the little people in your life who’s world’s are affected by the decisions we make. So we just pray about them and make them trusting that we are making the best decision and I think we truly did! I thought since I am busy setting up their new bedrooms and making them “their own space” that I would share on here their old rooms starting with my daughter! I love that I took these pictures shortly before we moved so I have them for memories sake after all these are the rooms they came home from the hospital to. My daughters room was girlie just like she is and was light and airy! I didn’t want anything too kiddish because that really isn’t my taste and since at the time when I decorated it I thought she would be in it for awhile I wanted a space she could grow in with minimal changes required. Naturally I chose white furniture for her because it is both neutral and girlie (and I love white as you know). Her bedding is from Restoration Hardware and her knitted blanket was a custom made blanket from Yarning Made. Her gallery wall I absolutely love! I originally had her newborn photos in them and then switched them to her First Birthday photos as she got older. I plan to do another gallery wall in her new room as well. She always loves to look at the pictures and talks about them. The hanging pom poms are from her shower and my sister hand made them! I forever will love the memories this room holds but I am loving the opportunity to redecorate her room now and I know the day will come soon where she will want to decorate it herself so for now I am enjoying the chance to do it myself!
So many times my budget doesn’t allow for me to purchase what my eye wants to so often time I shop around for things for a while before I find the right pieces. You can also always make touches like adding glass nobs to a basic white dresser to give it that more glamours feeling without breaking the bank. That is what we did! I hope you enjoyed a peak into my daughters old room. (I don’t call it a nursery since we made some changes to it from when it was her nursery) Have a great Monday everyone!
