Bathtime is by far the favourite part of the day for my kiddies. I am so thankful that all of my babes love the water and it therefore it is no surprise that bath time is a “sacred” event around here. On any given day my kids will start asking for a bath right after breakfast and so in the long winter months I will even let them have more than one bath a day. I liken it to a small indoor pool (it’s good to use your imagination right?)
As moms we all want to do what’s best for our little babes and that even includes what we put into and onto their bodies. There is so much talk out there now about which brands are actually safe for your babes and which ones aren’t and it can be overwhelming. I personally have super complex skin so I have to be careful what I use to wash my body with as well. I started using Dove on myself long before I even became a mama and like I have said many times to you guys before, if I’m going to give it to, or put it on my babies, it has to be good enough or safe enough for me first. I am so excited about Dove’s baby line of bathing products! My kids love the fact that now in their bathroom you can find similar looking products to what they find in my shower! Now that some of my kiddies are to an age where they can wash (or try to at least) themselves I love that Dove is safe and gentle enough for me to let them try out their independence while I can focus on bathing the baby with the very same soaps.
Finding a product that you can trust is hard nowadays when there are so many choices and some have great advertising and sadly you get misled and you end up disappointed because you simply chose a product you could not trust. As moms (and dads) we are constantly having to trust our instinct when we make decisions in caring for our babies and kiddies. I love that my kids are still young enough that they (for the most part) never really question my choices on things because they trust me but equally I have earned that trust. I feel confident to say that Dove has done that for me – they have earned my trust and I believe their products to be trustworthy. They stand behind what they claim to do and they actually do what they say they do! Some of my favourite qualities of the Dove Baby Line is: hypoallergenic (which is HUGE especially when it comes to baby’s soft, delicate skin), mild tearless formula (no burning eyes when soap gets in them), replenishes essential moisture and nutrients back into the skin (it’s like a soap and lotion in one), and all of their products are Pediatrician and Dermatologist approved.
There is no right or wrong way to care for your child, after all, as their mommy (or daddy) you know them best so you know which products are the best choice for you and them. Dove understands that and they want to encourage moms to find their own way and build their confidence by realizing that there is no recipe for how motherhood should look.
