Happy Easter Weekend and more specifically Happy Good Friday! We have already enjoyed a beautiful Good Friday service at our church and I just love how we can celebrate that today is indeed Good because Sunday is coming. We celebrate in hope because we know our Saviour didn’t stay dead but he is risen and alive and for that we celebrate. How are you spending your Easter? Since we have no kitchen table and literally every spare inch of our house is covered in boxes we are celebrating in a bit of an untraditional way. Sunday I am leading worship at our church which I am so excited about and honoured to be doing. What better way to spend Easter Sunday then celebrating the true meaning for Easter. I am excited to be able to celebrate with my siblings and their families and my dad on Sunday as well. Like I said earlier since we don’t have a dinning table at the moment we are taking our Easter dinner celebrations to a restaurant. Since my sissy lives 2 hours away we are driving half way and going to enjoy dinner at a local Italian restaurant. As much as I love the table decorating and hosting dinner, I am looking forward to having someone else cook me dinner and clean up after me all while enjoying my family! I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to set up an Easter tablescape though because I had this idea in my head and I needed to see it come to fruition. So I thought I would share my ideas with you and maybe if you are needing some inspiration this will spark some. It was a fairly inexpensive look to pull together! *I had to use my coffee table as my make shift table *

The pieces I used that really make this table scape come together: fresh tulips in a pretty spring colour, bunnies, greenery, and a little wicker. I will show you step by step how I put the table together.

I started by going to my local Michaels store and purchased this moss runner for the middle of the table. Then I found some beautiful pink tulips at the flower store and added them to two clear vases.

I then added these two cute little ceramic white bunnies who have cute little gold ears. I placed them on either side of the  tulips.

I then added these wicker charger plates to add some texture to the table as well as a hint of nature. These ones came from Michaels but I found some other cute ones at Ikea.

Next I added white plates and some water glasses.

Next I added these super cute napkins I found at Homesense. I know you are not really surprised I would find them there since I am there almost daily.

Then I added these cute ceramic place card holder bunnies on top of the napkins and added name cards. I picked these up at target (in the states since ours in Canada didn’t have them and are now almost bare)

And there you have it a pretty simple, yet cute and springy Easter Tablescape. I hope how ever you choose to spend your Easter you take time to think about what the true meaning of Easter is and that you find hope in the one who came and gave his life for you. He died so that you and I could live and he demonstrated true love on that Friday so many years ago. For any of you that are local and are looking to find out more about this man who we call Jesus or would like to try out this thing called church, I personally invite you to join me and my family this Sunday morning at 10:30 at our church. I would love to have you there.
