It seems like November is flying by and before we know it Christmas seriously will be here. My husband and I were talking last night and we have one weekend “free” from now till Christmas which is crazy to think about. Last year we were so busy learning the balance of having a newborn and a toddler but some how this year Christmas seems to have crept up even faster. It could be because we went on a vacation, I was busy planning and hosting a special baby boy’s first birthday (and yes I know I still refer to him as a baby but that is because he still is mine), hubby was on a business trip and just like that here we are. Usually I start my Christmas shopping in the summer. I know right (insert rolling eyes, jaw dropping) but I just love shopping (not that you are surprised) and I love to buy gifts for others. See the problem I usually run into is that I buy stuff way back in the summer and keep buying right up till Christmas, so this year I thought no way. Plus to be honest I have been too busy to really hunker down and just start shopping. So as I always do with pretty much anything I got my trusty pen and paper out. I am a list person – there is just something about writing it out opposed to typing it out and then the satisfaction I get when I get to check it off when the item has been done or purchased is just such great delight.
So here is my list of ideas of what to buy for that – husband, boyfriend, dad, brother – man in your life!
1.The Jawbone UP3 is the most advanced activity tracker known to man. It is packed with state-of-the-art sensors that give you the full picture of your health. Doesn’t mean you have to be a gym buff to think this is cool. I personally wouldn’t mind trying one out for myself. We all should care about our health and the state our bodies are in.
2. A new Winter Coat is a great and very practical gift especially if you live in the frozen tundra like we do. This coat will definitely beat the winter temps and keep him warm and looking stylish at the same time.
3. Shoe Care Kit Most of the men in my life have a thing with keeping their shoes nice, polished and scuff-less which isn’t a bad thing. This shoe care kit is handsome and super useful.
4. A Swiss Army Knife is always a great and practical gift for any man. This one is great – small enough to throw in your car or your brief case and it looks so great sporting those HBC stripes.
5. A classic bag for toting the ole laptop or books and papers is always another great gift idea. I liken a briefcase to a handbag for a woman. You can never really have too many and I love it when a man sports a nice bag to match his suit and shoes. An added touch to finish off the outfit.
6. If your guy is a sports lover these super cool Bottle Openers are a great stocking stuffer and so unique. Each opener is used from a game played bat.
7. The Bose SoundLink is the perfect way to bring his tunes with him anywhere he goes.
8. Pair a beautiful Decanter with his favourite bottle of Whisky or Scotch.
9. A great looking watch to keep him on time and looking great at the same time. My husband has a thing for watches so I know he would be more than happy to unwrap this on Christmas morning.
10. Warm boots to keep him dry yet keep him looking handsome.
I have to admit the list is inspired by a lot of the things my hubby likes since he and my kiddies are my favourite people to buy for (and I do it often). So have you started your shopping yet? Who do you find the most difficult to buy for?
Great list
