October 31! Its Halloween and it is also the last day of October. I can’t believe Christmas is just a few short weeks away. (I say short because we all know how busy the Christmas season is so it will be here before we know it) I have never really be one to get into Halloween. Sure I love giving out candy to the little tykes that come to my door but I never really embraced the whole dressing up thing that was until my little people arrived. Last year was the first time my daughter was old enough to really get the whole dressing up and going to get candy thing. This year will be doubly fun with my daughter and my son! I thought I would share a few of my favourite costumes for this year. I know it is too late to order any of them now but I should mention they are all on sale so you could plan ahead for next year – thats what I am planning to do.
Witch Spider Astronaut Peacock Fairy Gold Snow Fairy Pirate
I love that Pottery Barn has thought of it all when it comes to costumes starting right from the babies right on through to the teens. Obviously my favourite costume of the year is the Gold Snow Fairy and obviously my daughter would be wearing this if it were in her size. (maybe in a few years) My babies are dressing up as a cupcake and a puppy. The cupcake costume was a gift from a dear friend when my baby girl was only a few months old and it now fits her so it was the perfect choice for this year, plus she looks pretty darn cute in it and who doesn’t love cupcakes. My baby boy is going to be a puppy because, well there is no real reason other than we saw the costume and thought it was so cute he had to wear it. My daughter absolutely thinks its the funniest thing when my son is wearing it so it’ll make for great pictures (at least I hope so). We will be heading to our church this evening as they do a trunk or treat which I love. It is a great way to see people from our neighbourhood and church all in one place. It is a safe environment for the kids to run wild and get candy at the same time. Then we will be handing out candy at our home later on (if there is any left after I open the box).
What are you or your babies dressing up as today? How will you be celebrating Halloween? How ever you spend the day be safe, have fun and don’t eat too much candy!
