Water – H2O! So refreshing, so good especially when its ice cold! We use it for so many things like taking a shower or bath, washing our laundry, washing dishes, making food but probably the most common way is to drink it! We all know (or at least I am assuming we all do) how important water is for our bodies and really for the environment but can you imagine if you went and turned on your tap and found dirty water? I’ll be honest I would freak out – probably call my husband and insist someone come see whats wrong with my water supply. I think most of us would probably react somewhat like that – that is those of us who daily receive and dare I say expect to find clean water from our taps every day! Can you imagine (and I can’t really even) drinking dirty water and that being the norm for you!?

One of the reasons I love to blog is to partner with programs and stand behind great initiatives that I support and think are fabulous. I love being able to use the platform I have built to help promote good things that are happening around the world and today I am doing just that! I have teamed up with Me To We Brita to share about their new campaign which I am super excited about! Me to We Brita has just launched a new limited edition Statement Bottle that provides – wait for it – clean water to a person in Irkaat, Kenya for a whole year! Do you need me to say that again?? By purchasing ONE limited edition bottle YOU will be providing a YEAR’S supply of CLEAN water to one person in Irkaat, Kenya!! *Start your car now* I couldn’t wait to get my bottle and after opening it my son quickly snatched it out of my hands and said “mommy, is this for me?” well of course he thought since it was blue it was for him but I stop for a second before replying and I thought to myself ok here is a perfect teachable moment! So I explained to my son why this what seemed to be a perfectly normal blue water bottle, was actually a super special water bottle and after explaining to him how people in Kenya have to drink dirty water it was like a little light went on in his 3 year old mind and he got how awful that would be. My – now his – water bottle hasn’t left his little chubby fingers since it was opened and he carries it around with pride. My kids are water fanatics (if that is even possible) but seriously they love water. They love to play in it, bath in it, swim in it but most of all drink it. Even tonight while putting them to bed I think I had to fill their cups 3  times each before bed. How blessed we are that they can just turn the tap on and drink as much or as little as they want without fear of really running out or getting sick from drinking it. As part of ME to We’s transparent giving model, all ME to WE Brita products come with a track your impact code for consumers to track exactly where and how their purchase has made an impact – all you have to do is go online and enter your unique code.

I hope that you can see how passionate I am about this cause! Everyone desires to drink clean water so me and my family are standing up for clean water and I hope you will join us! Big changes start with simple everyday choices. Today, March 22nd is World Water Day so I encourage you to get out today and purchase your own statement bottle an help supply one lucky soul in Kenya with clean water for a year!

  • My kids love to eat tacos (burritos) and they love stuffies so these hot new toy #cutetitos are seriously the best of both worlds! The cutest little baby stuffies or regular size ones wrapped in a super soft blanket that perfectly resembles a tortilla shell these little #cutetitoes are sure to be a crowd pleaser this holiday season! Special thanks to #basicfuntoys for sending these to my little people you made their day!!
  • Change is inevitable so we need to learn to welcome the transformation that comes in change! Together hand in hand we can do this!
  • Grief is a funny thing it can hit you when you think that you are “fine” and yet it can exists in the middle of the most wonderful time of the year and when on the outside it looks like everything is exciting and fun! This past week has felt like an eternity I forget what he smells like I have longed for his snuggles and kisses yet I have spent moments praying for him and his new family, snuggling and kissing my own babies, crying and reminiscing with my kiddos all the things we miss and love about him! Time is one of those things that slows down when you wish it would speed up and flies bye when you wish it would freeze! Thank you for all the love, the sweet messages, dms, texts checking in and most of all the prayers they are carrying us through!
  • 570 days of loving you and it’s not enough! Goodbye seems too hard yet we release you with joy in our hearts and a smile on our faces because you’re getting your happy ending! You deserve all the love and to be surrounded by your siblings in your forever family but somehow it’s not making it any easier to let you go! It’s impossible to list all the things we will miss about you but know just because your gone you will never be forgotten and you are leaving with a piece of each of our hearts! You are a very loved little boy who makes missing you easy. With tear stain faces we say goodbye and await the next little one who needs some of our love and our hearts although they feel broken today are thankful that we got to love on you and be a piece of your story!
  • Ever feel like you can’t do what’s being asked of you? Ever feel inadequate for the task at hand? Ever felt like the journey your walking on is too hard? Tired of hearing “you can do this!” “you can do hard things!”? Me too!!! Truth is you (in and of yourself) can’t do hard things! Life is hard sometimes it’s scary, sometimes it’s lonely and sometimes you just wanna give up, throw the towel in - but don’t! I can’t do this on my own and neither can you - we weren’t meant to! God created us to do life together and He also promised to never leave us! I’ve known this my whole life and yet recently I’ve been reminded that truth - God doesn’t call the qualified He qualifies the called! I can’t do it - but He can so I keep moving forward one foot in front of the next ... step by step!
  • #tbt my sweet boy turned 6 and I’m in disbelief! I hope you will always be a mama’s boy, I hope people will always describe you as sweet, you feel things deep (like your mama) and yet this year you have become more adventurous and brave and I am so proud of you! I always knew you were special and this year I am starting to learn more about that - you still don’t like change but you continue to be best friends with you’re sisters and always a favorite of the girls in your life! I love you my sweet boy and I so thankful to be your mommy! #happybirthday #toinfinityandbeyond
