This past weekend we snuck away for a little “staycation” with our little family! My babies love the water and living in Canada they are heart broken they can’t swim in the lake all year round! I had been wanting to check out Great Wolf Lodge but thought it would be best to wait till the babies were a bit older! So about 2 months ago I showed my daughter a picture of the water park and she was begging to go! So we booked out trip for November as a little way to celebrate our little man’s birthday! Every day my sweet daughter would ask “Is today the day we go to the water park mommy?” So we started a count down calendar and let me tell you in my opinion the time flew and next thing I knew we were packing for our little weekend away! (I am sure it felt like an eternity for my daughter and son) I had heard a lot of great things about Great Wolf Lodge and had some tips from friends as to what things to spend and what things to save on as my babies are still a bit young! I knew my daughter would want to spend the entire time in the water but I wasn’t entirely sure how my son would do! He loves the water but he also is not the dare devil his sister is and so I wasn’t sure how the water slides would be for him! After we arrived and got settled into our room we wasted no time and hit the water park! I only wish I had videoed my babies reactions walking into the park (I made one of them when we entered our room and they were so excited screaming with excitement). The water park was huge and literally had something for everyone. I was so happy that they had a good variety of things for my babies to do that didn’t require my husband or I to do with them! They of course even tried out the big water slides with mommy and daddy of course! We stayed in the Kid Kamp Room and it was so neat. I love when a hotel/resort does things well and GWL definitely didn’t miss anything when it came to details! The kids were super excited to stay in their “Tent” and try out sleeping in bunk beds which thankfully they both slept in and none fell out! There are a bunch of different eating options right on site at GWL. They also have an arcade, bowling, spa for both kids and adults. They have story time every evening down at the fire place and a bunch of other actives going on through out the day for the kids! We had such a blast we are already booking our trip back! My daughter hasn’t stopped asking since the day we got home when we can go back! It melts my mamas heart to know my babies had such a fun weekend!
