Hope you have all had a great weekend. The weather was perfect cottage weather and we spent lots of time loving the sun and water at the cottage. With the summer season here it is perfect patio weather. I absolutely love sitting out on our deck in the evening with a good drink in hand. It is always fun to have friends over and enjoy making some fun summer cocktails and sharing some laughs together. Whats better than spending time with the people you love, drinking a yummy drink, forgetting the days troubles and just enjoying the moment.
Here are a couple of my “go to” recipes for this summer. We enjoyed these this weekend at the cottage and I thought I would share them with you. Let me know what you think of them!
Green Apple Crush
1 oz Smirnoff Green Apple vodka
1/2 oz Cointreau – premium orange liqueur
4 oz cranberry juice
1/4 green apple
Green apple slices for garnish
*Half fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add vodka, Cointreau and cranberry juice. Shake well and strain over an ice-packed cocktail glass with green apple pieces. You can even cut a green apple into thin slices and add to the ice in each glass if desired.*
Raspberry Crush
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Smirnoff Lime vodka
2 wedges of fresh lime
6 fresh raspberries
2 oz pineapple juice
raspberries, lime for garnish
*Add fresh raspberries, fresh lime and vodka into a cocktail glass and muddle well. Fill the glass with ice, top with pineapple juice and stir well. Skewer fresh raspberries and lime and place on top of the cocktail for a finished look*
What is your favourite summer drink? Do you enjoy the fruity cocktails or are you a beer and vino kind of person?
The drinks were great! I’m more of a beer drinker, but I truly enjoyed those cocktails, well done Katie!
Those drinks look awesome, will have to keep those in mind next time we are at the cottage!
